JULY 18 2008
Well, ok, so there WILL NOT in fact be a new CD out by summertime, but fear not loyal hordes of Ambergris
fans - the new disc has in fact been recorded. We hit BALLZZDEEP studios in Hackettstown NJ last weekend
and laid down 15 new tracks. The rough mix is in our hands and sounds pretty decent so far - when it's
finally mixed it's going to kill. We're going to release it ourselves on our No Way Out label, and the
title of the disc is "A Whale's Tale". We're planning a CD release party at the November 1 Halloween party
show with Blanks 77 up at Penn Monster Factory in Stroudsburg. Details on that show are on the
shows page. As I get more details on the show (cost, start time
and other bands), I'll post that info too. Look for us to play with JT Haberstaadt's comedy
tour again in October too. More details on that to come. That's it for now. Stay tuned for the latest.

MARCH 12 2008
It's been ages since I've done an update and frankly there hasn't been much to report. We've been
writing songs like crazy - we now have about 15 or 16 new tunes to record, and we just have to find
the time to do so. Daily life has been getting in the way of the band but fear not, we're on our
way back. We finally have about 5 or 6 shows lined up - see the shows
page for details. We'll be doing East Coast OiFest 2008 in May at Croc Rock, and of course the annual
trainwreck known as Tutfest is coming up soon too. Wondering what ridiculous covers we'll pull out?
Guess you'll just have to show up. We got a few other gigs lined up too, with some of our local friends
so all in all it should be a good couple of months. We plan on hitting the studio by June at the latest,
maybe sooner - who knows. There WILL definitely be a new disc by summertime, you can bet on that.
That's all I have - we'll catch you at a show.

JUNE 7 2007
NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS???...
Well it's now been close to almost 6 months since I've done a news update on here. There really isn't
a whole lot of news. We're still slowly working on new songs and hope to record sometime maybe by the
end of the year. It's looking like 2007 will most likely NOT see a new Ambergris release, but hopefully
there will be something in early 2008. Everyday life sometimes tends to get in the way of these sorts of
things and that's what we're running into right now. Sit tight - when the new disc does come out it will
be better than anything we've done to this point.
In show news, we did a bunch of shows in the past few months, including a benefit show for the NYC
Firefighters who helped out with the World Trade Center on 9/11. Right now we have a show this coming weekend
in Kingston at Backstage Enterprises, and a tentative one lined up in Reading PA on Friday July 27. More
news about this one as I get it. We probably won't be doing a whole lot more than that until the end of August
as everyone is on vacation and other assorted summertime shit. But that's ok because it gives us time to finish
writing new material for the next disc. Keep an eye out for new t-shirts, stickers, buttons, etc. this fall and
winter too - I think it's about time we send some of the old merch and what not to the proverbial landfill and
come up with some new designs and shit. That's it for now. See you all at the shows... Cheers!

JANUARY 19 2007
Hope everyone had a great and safe holiday season. Ambergris is back to work on new songs for the
next CD (look for it sometime this summer) and getting new shows lined up. We're playing two benefit
shows - one for victims of a house fire in Allentown on 12/29/06. This show's on Jan. 31 at Croc Rock
and has 30 bands on 6 stages. Most of 'em aren't punk bands, but come on out and support a good cause
anyway. On Feb. 3, we'll be at the Sterling with Weekend Warriors and a slew of the locals for a benefit
show for the Bootgirl clothing shop which just moved to Main Street in Northampton. Then on March 3, we're
up in Kingston again at Backstage Enterprises, and back to Croc Rock on March 29 playing with Angel City
Outcasts, our boys Born To Lose, Flatfoot 56, and locals The Project and Maddog Surrender. Stay tuned for
more info as we get it. We hope to make 2007 our best year yet. Cheers!
